Frequently asked questions
What does the app do?
e-mystocks tracks upcoming earnings, consensus estimates, historical beat rates, and a TC2000-style momentum signal across S&P 500, NASDAQ-100, and Dow 30 constituents. It also shows post-earnings drift, options implied move, and multi-quarter growth trends.
Where does the data come from?
Fundamentals (revenue, EPS, quarterly history) come from SEC EDGAR filings and Yahoo Finance aggregations. Real-time and end-of-day prices come from Financial Modeling Prep. Earnings calendars are compiled from company filings and analyst consensus feeds. See the Data Sources screen in the app for details.
How often is the data refreshed?
A full rebuild runs before market open (4 AM UTC). End-of-day prices are republished ~90 minutes after U.S. close (21:30 UTC). During regular trading hours, momentum signals for a curated universe stream live every few minutes via Firestore.
Is this investment advice?
No. e-mystocks is an informational and educational tool. Nothing in the app is a recommendation to buy, sell, or hold any security. Read our Terms of Service before using it.
How do I sign in?
Tap the profile icon → Sign In. You can use Google or Sign in with Apple. Most features work without signing in; sign-in only enables the live momentum signal stream.
How do I delete my account?
In the app: tap the profile icon → Delete Account. This permanently deletes your Firebase Authentication record and any linked provider credentials. Your on-device watchlist and preferences are kept unless you also uninstall the app.
Why isn't my ticker showing live prices?
Live price signals cover a curated universe of liquid, actively-traded stocks. If a ticker isn't in that universe or the market is closed, the app falls back to the most recent close price (republished daily after market close). Outside market hours you'll see a "Fri close" (or whichever weekday) qualifier on the change pill.
I see a wrong earnings date — who do I tell?
Please email us with the ticker and the correct date/source. Earnings dates are sourced from multiple providers and occasionally get reconciled; we'll update the upstream feed.
Does the app work offline?
Partially. The last-synced data remains readable offline. Live momentum signals require an active internet connection.
